Post caps not suitable for Finials
These post caps are not designed to have a finial attached.
Directions: All post caps are priced and sized based on the size of your post, not the size of the post cap. So if you have a 4" by 4" post you need a 4" by 4" post cap. For slip over post caps and copper post caps, the actual inside dimensions will be one eighth(1/8) of an inch larger in both dimensions than your post to allow it to easily "slip over" the top.
Post caps come standard with an extra 1/8" for ease of placing your cap on the fence post. Ex: 4" x 4" post cap is actually 4 1/8" x 4 1/8".
